Abstract��The Collection of Speculativeness on Ci Study (2011 edition, published by People's Publishing House), written by Professor Ou Mingjun, focuses on the deep analysis of theories on Ci study and the introspection of previous researches on Ci study. It's worth mentioning that the author pays attention to the theory speculation. His accounts cover various aspects of the system of Ci study with many revisions of the misinterpretations about relevant works, revealing the historical truths which have been shadowed before. Abounded in breakthroughs of viewpoints, perspectives and literature materials, the book presents the original and authentic outlook of the Ci history and the Ci study. The book contains great innovative viewpoints as some academic namings are presented, such as meta-criticism, derivative criticism, meta-categories, subordinate categories and ratification. Furthermore, problematic awareness can be seen throughout the book, which to a large extent, shows the great speculativeness of the author.
